I’m an international best-selling author, TEDx speaker, coach and FE Lecturer with over 15 years of teaching experience. My debut novel, Expelled from Uganda, a memoir of my father’s experiences during the 1972 Ugandan Asian expulsion, sparked my passion for storytelling and its power to transform lives.

After many years in the classroom, I stepped into a new chapter by combining my love of writing, storytelling and personal growth into powerful workshops and talks that engage and inspire.

Through my sessions on creative writing and mindset, I work with schools, colleges, universities, organisations and individuals, to show people that their stories matter, and that who they are is already enough. Whether I’m speaking on stage, leading a writing workshop, or talking about my own journey as an author, my mission is the same: to spark confidence, creativity and courage.

About me

TEDx was a huge honour. I shared how my journey as a positive disruptor was shaped by my father’s resilience. He was expelled from Uganda in 1972 by Idi Amin, and had to start from scratch, a lesson that became my foundation. His ability to rebuild, adapt and push forward taught me to embrace change and navigate life’s uncertainties with courage. Our heritage doesn’t have to dictate our choices, but it can empower us to create our own path with resilience and purpose.
